I saw the design of the 747 ADL about 14 years ago in a briefing and noted the similarities to an A-10. Basically, a big weapon with a plane around it. In that regard, the ATL is to the ADL as the M61 Vulcan is to the GAU-8 Avenger, approximately. Except no one ever claimed the Avenger was deniable. :-)
